We love fresh on-screen pairings. They are our favourite kind of casting coups. The latest news from the world of film's casting agencies is that Keerthy Suresh and Rajkummar Rao are coming together for a family entertainer. Our trusted sources have confirmed that casting is a done deal.
Our sources remained tight-lipped about details of the film's story but revealed, "Keerthy has been impressing both audiences and the filmmakers with her recent spate of performances. Rajkummar Rao and wife Patralekha have been on the lookout for new scripts and talents to get their film production venture kickstarted. This new project, with Keerthy Suresh as the female lead opposite Rajkummar Rao was the perfect way to set the ball rolling. Keerthy's casting is a done deal."
We had to find out more about this exciting development, so we reached out to a few other sources to see if we can find out details about the film's subject, the title or what the crew would look like. While we didn't get any significant reveals, one of sources did tell us that this new film will have a story revolving around the education system. A young director seems to be attached to the project and it seems the script is locked in, with Rajkummar co-producing the film along with an established OTT platform.
We don't have confirmation on whether this film will be a theatrical release or straight to OTT, but we'll be hoping that final announcements on this awesome project are made soon. Until that happens, we will keep are eyes peeled, and ears glued to the grapevine and try to bring you more updates from this project.
Keerthy's other projects include a film called Revolver Rita and another big project with Yash Raj Films. Apart from her new Hindi cinema endeavours, she will continue to work in the South with her next big Telugu film already locked in and another one is in the offing. We last saw in Baby John with Varun Dhawan. Rajkummar Rao on the other hand is gearing up for the release of Bhool Chuk Maaf. This is a romantic comedy where he stars with Wamiqa Gabbi.
