In the aftermath of the heartbreaking terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22, 2025, which left 26 dead, India launched Operation Sindoor, targeting terror camps across the border. As tensions soared, diplomacy stepped in-- with a ceasefire finally brokered on May 10 by U.S. President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The move marked a crucial moment of de-escalation in an otherwise tense standoff between the two nations.

Amid this pivotal development, several Bollywood stars lent their voices to the conversation-- expressing both support and concern through their Instagram stories. From calling for peace to saluting the armed forces, their messages struck a chord across the country.

Actor Saif Ali Khan issued a powerful statement stating, “I stand in complete solidarity with, and support of, my government and their response to the slaughter of innocents in Pahalgam. My thoughts and prayers are with the families shattered by the violence of this most recent terror attack on our soil. Soon after the ceasefire was announced, Malaika Arora shared her relief in an Instagram story, writing, “Thank God!” She also expressed her hope that “peace will prevail between the two countries.” Actress Parineeti Chopra kept it spiritual, posting “Om Namah Shivaay” on her Instagram, a moment of quiet reflection that resonated with many followers.

Veteran actress Raveena Tandon weighed in with both hope and caution. On Instagram, she wrote, “If this is true, then it’s a welcome decision. #ceasefire.” However, she also issued a stern warning, “But make no mistake, the day India bleeds again #statesponsoredterrorism it will be an act of war and then there will be hell to pay.”

In her extended caption, she urged global financial institutions and powerful nations to remain vigilant:“The #IMF had better keep track of where their money goes, the big powers may have sanctioned this loans to get their earlier loans paid back or so that there is more ammunition bought or whatever. But now AND never should Bharat Bleed Again.”

She closed with a heartfelt declaration, “#ceasefire But few things are pretty clear. I will support my country in ways that as a citizen I can. #mycountrymylife #bharatforever This has shown us who are friends and not. My country’s enemy is mine.”
