As the 78th edition of the Cannes Film Festival continues to unfold in the French Riviera, Day 9 brought a dazzling showcase of style from some of the world’s most celebrated stars. Known for its red-carpet grandeur and cinematic prestige, Cannes 2025 has proven once again that it’s not just about the films — it’s also about the unforgettable fashion moments. From Bollywood royalty to Hollywood icons, the carpet was graced with elegance, experimentation, and timeless glamour.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, a long-time Cannes veteran, made a remarkable return to the festival. She turned heads in a regal ivory saree featuring intricate golden detailing, crafted by renowned designer Manish Malhotra. Her full-sleeved blouse and flowing dupatta gave the ensemble a structured yet traditional appeal. Complementing the look were striking ruby jewels adorning her neckline. Aishwarya’s beauty look, bold red-tinted lips, sharp eyeliner, and an open hairstyle with a prominent sindoor added a powerful cultural touch to her appearance.
Making waves at his film’s world premiere, Ishaan Khatter embraced vintage sophistication in a brown and white tailored outfit. The retro-inspired look radiated old-school charm, perfectly fitting the classic spirit of Cannes. Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor, making her much-anticipated debut at the festival, stunned everyone at the premiere of her film Homebound. She wore an ethereal Anamika Khanna creation styled by Rhea Kapoor, blending tradition with high fashion. Her look exuded goddess-like grace, solidifying her arrival on the international fashion scene.
On the Hollywood front, Scarlett Johansson walked the red carpet for the premiere of her directorial debut Eleanor the Great. She looked radiant in a lavender strapless gown, embracing soft hues and feminine elegance. The screening received a 5-minute standing ovation, marking a high point in her evolving career. Also serving high drama on the red carpet was model Coco Rocha, who brought avant-garde edge in a deconstructed mermaid gown by Ionut Razvan at the premiere of The History of Sound. Singer Gracie Abrams also made an appearance at the same event, posing with poise and adding to the star-studded atmosphere.
