Panchayat, the widely loved comedy-drama series, is making a return with Season 4, and fans got their first look at what’s coming on May 3. Prime Video dropped the teaser at the WAVES Summit 2025 in Mumbai, stirring excitement among viewers who’ve been waiting since the last season released in May last year. The show once again brings back familiar faces — Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, and Faisal Malik — as the story picks up in the heart of Phulera, this time against the charged backdrop of local elections.
From the teaser, it’s clear that Phulera is heading into some serious political drama. With Pradhan Ji, Bhushan, Manju Devi, and Bhushan’s wife Kranti Devi all in the race, the upcoming season sets the stage for a quirky showdown. The calm of the village is about to be disrupted by loud campaign slogans, strategic planning, and lots of unexpected twists. And as always, there’s plenty of subtle humor tucked into every corner of the story — something the show has always done beautifully.

Prime Video shared the teaser on Instagram with the caption, “Phulera mein elections ki garma garmi shuru hone wali hai. #PanchayatOnPrime.” The new season is set to premiere on July 2. Backed by The Viral Fever, the series continues to be written by Chandan Kumar and directed by the duo Deepak Kumar Mishra and Akshat Vijaywargiya. It will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime and promises the same rooted storytelling that’s made it a fan favorite over the years.
