Paresh Rawal talks about the real reason behind quitting Hera Pheri 3

After reports surfaced that Akshay Kumar is suing Paresh Rawal for quitting Hera Pheri 3, the latter has broken his silence. He spoke about the real reason for quitting the film and said he didn't feel like a part of it. Paresh, whose character Baburao has become a cult classic, told Mid-day, "I know it came as a shock to many. We three make a great combination with Priyadarshanji directing us, but the fact is that I opted out because today I don't feel like a part of it." The actor also added that this is his final decision.

Meanwhile, according to a report by Hindustan Times, Akshay Kumar has sent a legal notice to Paresh Rawal, claiming the money in damages. Rawal's alleged unprofessional conduct of leaving the movie after signing a legal contract and beginning filming did not sit well with his co-star.

Earlier, Rawal spoke about his exit and said that there are no creative differences. His statement read, "I wish to put it on record that my decision to step away from Hera Pheri 3 was not due to creative differences. I reiterate that there are no creative disagreements with the filmmaker. I hold immense love, respect, and faith in Mr. Priyadarshan, the film director." His departure triggered disappointment among audiences who have cherished his iconic role as Baburao Ganpatrao Apte since the original film’s release in 2000.

Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal had reportedly started shooting for the film. Kumar is also one of the producers of the film, and reports also state that Rawal was paid more than thrice his usual fee for Hera Pheri 3. Now, with Rawal out, it remains to be seen how the filmmakers will move forward without the character who is, for many, the soul of the franchise.
