
Aneet Padda is riding high on the success wave of Saiyaara. The Yash Raj Films production, directed by Mohit Suri, marked her theatrical debut along with Ahaan Panday. The film has turned both these young actors into overnight stars. They are now in Singapore, along with the team, to celebrate the success of the film. Amid this, we are getting to know that Aneet has been brought on board for a courtroom drama titled Nyaya, along with Fatima Sana Shaikh. Helming the project will be director Nitya Mehra and her husband Karan Kapadiya.
Nitya was also the creator, director and executive producer of Big Girls Don't Cry, a series that starred Aneet, along with others. It is being reported that Aneet and Fatima will share the screen in this gritty drama, which is set to have an OTT release. As per Peeping Moon, the Saiyaara actress will be seen playing the role of a teenager who fights for justice after being sexually assaulted at the hands of a spiritual leader. Fatima, on the other hand, will be essaying the role of a cop. Besides them, the series also reportedly stars Arjun Mathur. Aneet shot for this drama even before being confirmed for Saiyaara. However, an official announcement is awaited.
