Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-awaited movie Love & War is scheduled to hit the theatres in March 2026. The movie will star Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in leading roles. The movie’s filming is progressing at a fast pace and a new report from Bollywood Hungama suggests that the filmmaker is planning to shoot an intense sequence at a great location.

Bhansali is reportedly shooting a scene in Rome. The director also went for a recce to finalise the place earlier this month. He is also looking at a few more places in Europe but they haven’t been finalised yet. Interestingly, the shooting in the overseas locations will begin in the second half of 2025.
While he is known for his opulent and larger-than-life sets, Bhansali will shoot overseas after 26 years. The last film of his that was shot overseas remains Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. It was released in 1999, 26 years ago. The movie starred Aishwarya Rai, Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn in leading roles. The filming of an intense scene in the second half of the movie happened in Budapest, Hungary. The location was being depicted as Italy in the movie.
In July, our sources had exclusively quoted that Ranbir was gearing up to film an interesting part. A source informed, “Ranbir Kapoor has wrapped up the shoot of Ramayana and wanted to take a short holiday with his family. He will return from his London vacation and join Sanjay Leela Bhansali on the sets of Love & War. This particular schedule is reportedly going to be the most intriguing part of the film."

A report from India Today had suggested that Sanjay Leela Bhansali was also planning to film in Mhow, a town in Madhya Pradesh, which is known for its historical army base dating back to the British era. The location was selected to capture the artillery and settings of the pre-independence period, as the film requires authentic visuals from that era.
