The confusion surrounding superstar Prabhas' two upcoming films stems from *Fauzi* being delayed from its planned December 2026 release. And the noise shows no sign of dying down. One fact, however, is firm: Fauzi will not reach theatres on December 3, 2026. The development has sparked rumours of a clash or reordering with Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit, which is officially slated for March 5, 2027.
Fauzi to take over Spirit’s slot?
Fauzi’s indefinite delay and the uncertainty surrounding its release have turned into fertile ground for speculation. Last week, a whisper emerged that Fauzi would take over the March 5, 2027 slot currently held by Spirit. Many insist that Spirit will hold its ground. Should that happen, it would release before Fauzi. This scenario holds only if Fauzi also bypasses January 2027. A tug-of-war is unlikely. T-Series presents Fauzi and also produces Spirit. With shared stakeholders in the picture, the decision-makers know how to keep friction at bay. Both films are in hands that understand the value of timing.
Two Avatars, One Star
Amid the chatter, Prabhas' fans have plenty to cheer about. The actor will be seen in two strikingly different roles. In Fauzi, he is said to essay a powerful character – that of a soldier with a domineering frame. It is a presence built to command the screen without raising its voice. Spirit takes a different route. Prabhas plays a cop who, according to rumours, never wears a uniform because he refuses to play by the norm. It is an intriguing hook, and one that suits Vanga's penchant for unconventional heroes.Fauzi and Spirit continue to be among the most anticipated multilingual outings in Prabhas' filmography. But for now, the calendar remains a moving target.
