Upcoming K-Dramas Releasing in September: The Scandal and More

September is bringing a packed slate of K-dramas, with new romances, period dramas, thrillers and high-concept stories. From the return of Hyun Bin and Jung Woo-sung in Made in Korea Season 2 to Bona and Park Seo-ham’s time-travelling romance Dive Into You, the month has something for fans of very different genres. Here are the upcoming K-dramas to keep on your radar in September 2026.

Made in Korea Season 2

Hyun Bin returns as Baek Ki-tae in the second season of Made in Korea. Set against the political and social upheavals of 1970s South Korea, the series continues to follow Ki-tae's relentless pursuit of wealth and power, while Jung Woo-sung's prosecutor Geon-young remains determined to expose his increasingly dangerous activities. Season 2 picks up nine years later, with Ki-tae driven by even greater ambitions and his rivalry with Geon-young escalating into a larger battle involving politics, crime and competing ideas of justice. It will be released on Disney+ on September 9.

The Ordinary Jackpot

The Ordinary Jackpot follows Gong Eun Tae, an ordinary sales employee whose life takes an unexpected turn after he wins a 1.3 billion won lottery jackpot. But rather than walking away from his job and starting an entirely new life, he turns up at work the very next day. The money changes his outlook more than his circumstances, prompting him to rethink the way he lives and sees himself. It will be released on TVING on September 10.

A Love Other Than Yours

A Love Other Than Yours centres on Namgung Ho and Lee Mi-do, a couple who have been together for a decade. As they find themselves questioning whether to get married or go their separate ways, both are forced to confront what they really want from love and from each other. It will be released on Amazon Prime Video on September 12.

The Scandal

Set in Joseon-era Korea, The Scandal revolves around Lady Cho, a talented noblewoman frustrated by the restrictions placed on women, and Jo-won, a notorious playboy who has little faith in love. Lady Cho proposes a dangerous wager involving romance and seduction, which Jo-won accepts. Their game takes an unexpected turn when Hui-yeon, a young widow determined to remain faithful to her late husband, becomes caught between them. What begins as a calculated game of desire soon threatens to spiral into something far more complicated. It will be released on Netflix on September 18.

Dive Into You

Release Date: September 26

Dive Into You brings together body-swapping, time travel and romance. Bona plays Yun Ha-na, a hugely successful actress whose life takes a bizarre turn when she swaps souls with her twin brother, Yun Ha-ru, a national-level judo athlete. The mysterious incident also gives the siblings a way to travel back in time.

Once in the past, Ha-na finds herself face-to-face with her first love, Jung Woo-jae, who died while protecting her. Determined to change his fate, she sets out to prevent the tragedy, even as navigating the past in her brother's body creates a whole new set of complications. It will be released on Viki on September 26.

Mission: Mompossible

Release Date: September 28

Mission: Mompossible is a family drama centred on two very different mothers and the children whose lives become intertwined. One has spent her life putting her family before herself, while the other has lived with her own ambitions at the forefront. Their contrasting approaches to life eventually bring their families into conflict, setting the stage for a story about family, secrets, relationships and personal growth. It will be released on KBS1 on September 28.
