Hanuman Ansh just added another improbable chapter to what’s already the year’s most unpredictable box office story. On Day 47, the Vishal Chaturvedi directorial pulled in Rs 1 crore overseas, pushing its total overseas gross to Rs 34.75 crore and its worldwide gross to Rs 366.71 crore. That number puts it comfortably ahead of Yash’s big-budget spectacle Toxic: A Fairytale for Grownups, which sits at an approximate worldwide gross of Rs 342.07 crore.
The gap becomes even more striking once you factor in scale. Toxic reportedly carried a budget somewhere between Rs 500 and 1,000 crore, one of the most expensive Indian films ever made. Hanuman Ansh, on the other hand, was made for a fraction of that, closer to Rs 2 crore, and has still managed to out-earn it globally. With this milestone, the film now ranks among the top three highest-grossing Indian releases of 2026, trailing only Dhurandhar 2 and Border 2, and ahead of names like Peddi and Jana Nayagan.
The film’s trajectory reads like a slow-burn thriller of its own. Its first two weeks brought in a modest Rs 1.48 crore combined. Then things shifted. Week three added Rs 10.40 crore, week four exploded to Rs 61 crore, and week five delivered a staggering Rs 90.25 crore. The sixth week kept the momentum going with another Rs 80.25 crore, including a strong weekend haul of Rs 28.50 crore across Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
What makes this run particularly remarkable is that its overseas rollout was delayed, meaning almost all of this growth has come from steady, sustained domestic demand rather than a big international push. Seven weeks in, and Hanuman Ansh is still writing new milestones with each passing day.
